At Central Ohio Youth For Christ, we are introducing young people to Jesus at pivotal moments. YFC is a movement that reaches young people everywhere with the hope of Christ. We work with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

More than 1,000 teens engage with a YFC ministry during the course of a year. We simply cannot impact so many young people without the critical support of committed volunteers.

Relational volunteers support youth programs by building positive, age-appropriate relationships with young people, participating in group activities, and helping create safe & welcoming environments at our ministry sites. These volunteers work directly with the young people in our programs to help them become lifelong followers of Christ through teaching the Bible using group discussions and individual mentorship/discipleship.

• Heart for Youth: Ability to build respectful, supportive relationships with young people and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Communication: Strong listening skills and a team-player mindset.
• Reliability: Dependable, organized, and able to fulfill commitments within a structured program setting.
• Faith Alignment: Alignment with the mission and values of COYFC and a desire to serve in a Christ-centered environment.
• Safety & Training: Willingness to complete required background checks, orientation, and youth protection training.
• Experience: Previous experience in youth ministry, education, counseling, or mentoring is helpful, but not required!
