Community Development for All People Thrive to 5 Director

Community Development for All People (CD4AP) is seeking a mature, energetic, experienced professional to serve families living on the South Side of Columbus. The Thrive to 5 Director will oversee a unique suite of programming and provide intentional outreach and build relationships with South Side families enrolled in the Thrive to 5program, including pregnant women and families with children from birth to age 5.

This position will report to the Executive Director and will supervise other Thrive to 5 staff.

• Babies are born full weight, full term
• Babies celebrate their first birthday
• Toddlers and preschoolers thrive and are developmentally on track each year
• Children enter kindergarten ready to learn, developmentally age appropriate
• Creation of a community of mutual support
• Families develop relationships that generate positive outcomes and family empowerment

• Provide overall direction and strategic planning for Thrive to 5 program activities
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and interns assigned to the program to achieve program goals and activities
• Oversee planning and implementation of quarterly Family Events, including twice yearly Community Baby Showers
• Distribute Pack and Plays to all eligible families as a vehicle of safe sleep
• Oversee planning and execution of monthly parenting education classes, kindergarten readiness workshops, and other classes
• Develop kindergarten readiness program strategies and partnerships
• Create and maintain community partnerships to support programs activities, promotional items, and quarterly Family Events
• Oversee data collection and reporting to various funders

• Develop relationships with families to assist in creating individualized plans to reach program objectives
• Recruit new families through community outreach, partnerships, and existing CD4AP programs
• Oversee implementation of Monthly Check In System, including resource referrals, data collection, and incentive distribution
• Connect families with resources and programming to reach outlined objectives. Resources include, but are not limited to :
  Prenatal care and support, pediatric care, stable housing, access to healthy food, access to medication, employment, financial counseling, quality affordable childcare, financial counseling, transportation, kindergarten readiness
• Facilitate communication and client empowerment in interactions with health care/social service systems

• Have a comprehensive understanding of digital technology platforms
• Data collection and analysis as outlined by funding guidelines
• Grant writing, manage program budget and remain up to date on funding deadlines and guidelines
• Supervise, coach and provide professional development for program staff and volunteers
• Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with all stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with Thrive to 5 planning team
• Attend bi-weekly check-ins and monthly staff meetings and trainings
• Maintain a plan for sustainability of current and future programs and sharing best practices.
• Attend community coalition meetings and events to promote a community where all children thrive

• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Relevant majors include but are not limited to:
  Social Work, Sociology, Public Affairs, Secondary Education, Psychology, Management. Equivalent experience may be considered.
