Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Description:
Registered Nurse (MS/Tele Float) provides comprehensive patient care across medical-surgical and telemetry units, monitoring patient conditions and responding to changes in clinical status. The nurse administers medications, performs assessments, and coordinates care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. They float between units as needed, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Minimum 2 + years of high acuity Med Surg Tele level or higher required! ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!

Special Procedures/Unit Details:
All inpatient units/ 36 beds. Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis.

Floating to Med Surg and PCU Oncology units including:

• BMT

• Acute Leukemia

• Hematology

• Medical Oncology

• PCU Oncology

• Gynecological Oncology

• Urology

• Colorectal

• Surgical Oncology

• Corrections Healthcare
-Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Certifications required:

• ACLS

• BLS

• NIHSS

Staffing ratios - PCU is 1:3, can be 1:4 w/ mixed acuity, M/S Tele ideally 1:4 but can be 1:5
Weekends - variable based on unit needs
No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Five shifts of bedside orientation b/t weeks 2 and 3, then independent.
