Student Health Services a department of the Office of Student Life, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with a multi-disciplinary team of physicians and other health care professionals to provide primary care, ambulatory care, and clinical services to students at The Ohio State University. The LPN serves as one of the primary initial contacts with clinical services; by providing patient care, obtaining patient reason for visit, vital signs, and other clinical information;
assists providers with procedures; administers injections, other medication, cares out clinical orders, Intravenous fluids (IV) and documents all information in the electronic health record. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Required: Graduated from an approved school of practical nursing; current Ohio LPN-Pharmacology license or ability to obtain prior to start date;
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - Health Care Worker certification or able to obtain prior to start date; IV Certification and experience; experience with electronic health information management systems.
Desired: 2 years’ work experience in an ambulatory care setting; experience working with an adolescent age population; working knowledge of communicable disease and control.

Targeted hiring range is $22.36 to $27.88. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the selected candidate’s qualifications.
