Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs

Highlights:

• 24-bed Medical ICU caring for hemodynamically compromised adult and geriatric patients
• 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts; 72-hour orientation provided
• Epic EMR system required; interdisciplinary team includes IV therapy, respiratory services, rapid response, pharmacy, and more
• Complex case mix including ARDS, sepsis, COPD, oncologic emergencies, GI bleeds, and multi-system organ failure
• Advanced procedures: mechanical ventilation, CRRT (NxStage machines), arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, chemotherapy administration, and plasmapheresis
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience; previous travel experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with ventilator management, IV starts, vasoactive drips, arterial line management, central line care, and IV sedation
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
