Job Type: Pool / Non-Exempt
Shift Details: 7:00pm - 7:30am - As Needed
Work Location:
Crisis - Franklin County Crisis Care Center - Columbus, OH
Salary/Hourly Wage: $84.00 - $87.00/hour

The Nurse Practitioner position is responsible for coordinating and providing medical/clinical services including engagement, assessment, differential diagnosis, recovery service planning, medication management, education, and risk assessment and discharge planning. The Nurse Practitioner position also uses Recovery Coaching to maximize the opportunity to create recovery partnerships and a recovery environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Guest Care & Advocacy:
- Provides appropriate treatment and referral according to individual’s needs.
- Prescribes and administers medication.
- Supervises special diet requirements.
- Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services.
- Compliance &
Risk Management:- Supervises or provides nursing and medical care in compliance with licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
- Ensures completion of designated reviews for all new individuals brought to the facility, making appropriate dispositions in accordance with policy.
- Initiates and/or ensures appropriate response to all medical emergencies.
- Communicates complaints and incidents to supervisory personnel.
- Completes clinical documentation as required.
- Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Cross Functional
Collaboration:- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes and medical care.
- Additional Duties:
- Performs other related duties assigned.
- Education/Licenses:
- Master’s Degree or above from an accredited School of Nursing with appropriate training as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification in Psychiatric care (PMHNP).
- Valid DEA registration.
- Valid and current state-specific RN license and Nurse Practitioner license (Compact licensure preferred).
- Experience:
- Experience working in an acute psychiatric setting and training and experience in addiction preferred.
- Appropriate training as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
- Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Effective listening skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Must be able to pass de‑escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
- Working knowledge of involuntary commitment procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion.
- Driving Requirements:
- If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy.
- If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed.
- Miscellaneous Requirement(s):
- Travel required based on business need.
- Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement.
- Successfully complete and meet all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
- Provide the required credentials to successfully complete the credentialing process.
