Job Description
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires a strong ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in a high-stress environment, ensuring effective communication with medical staff and families.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, their families, and healthcare teams.
- Perform assessments and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient care and outcomes in compliance with hospital policy.
- Participate in patient education regarding childbirth and postnatal care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Current RN license and certification as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in labor and delivery nursing strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. - Compliance with all health and safety regulations as per facility policies.
