Job Description

Title:

Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule:

- Shifts:

Days/Nights (12-hr D/N rotating contracts possible)
- Weekend shifts may vary by unit.

Assignment Details:
- Daily census / beds: 36
- Floating required to other medical-surgical and oncology units.

Requirements:
- Minimum: 2 years nursing experience (within the most recent 3 years)
- At least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass.

- Certifications:

BLS required (also ACLS and NIHSS preferred)

- Experience with EPIC charting required; familiarity with Pyxis system preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide nursing care to oncology patients (active treatment, workups, history of cancer) and non-oncology medical-surgical cases.
- Monitor and manage patient telemetry, including dysrhythmia recognition and management.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care across various disciplines.
- Prioritize safety and effective communication within the corrections environment.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 72 hours.
- Must complete an urgent fingerprinting process immediately after signing the contract.
- Pre-approved time off: one request required with submission.
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be a manager/director.
