Position Summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) assists with the planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of patient care operations for a designated area(s) on a 24‑hour basis as required. The ANM promotes a healthy work environment for the team while cultivating collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, the ANM assists in managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of patient care staff.

The ANM is a key contributor to the ongoing operations of the Nursing Department and collaborates with other patient care departments and areas that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations and services.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate patient care operations for a designated area(s) on a 24‑hour basis.
  • Manage, guide, coach, and evaluate the work performance of patient care staff.
  • Collaborate with other patient care departments/areas to support patient care operations and services.
  • Promote a healthy work environment, collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect among team members.
  • Operationalize the Medical Center’s mission, vision, values, and goals, supporting the Nursing Professional Practice Model.
Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (RN) – current Ohio RN license required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
  • Certification in nursing administration or a relevant area of clinical expertise (or ability to obtain such certification within the eligibility timeframe).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and related responsibilities.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

The position will support the staff on 17 South.
