Staff Nurse; RN - Clinical Research

Scope of Position

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization. The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.

The staff nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The staff nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Maintains current Ohio RN license. Meets mandatory educational and health requirements. Demonstrates computer skills required to meet job functions.

This position will be working on the Clinical Research Center unit located in Dodd/Davis. The Clinical Research Center is an inpatient and outpatient research unit  conduct clinical trials for researchers Monday to Friday 7–5:30 with evening and night shift hours as needed. Flexible work hours required.
