Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Stepdown RN for this travel assignment. You will provide patient‑centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and enjoy competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and dedicated clinical support.
Required Qualifications- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
- NIHSS Certification
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments for cardiac care
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
- Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisors or physicians as needed
- Responds to life‑saving situations per nursing standards and protocols for cardiac emergencies
- Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
- Initiates patient education plans on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Performs other duties within scope of practice
- Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication
- English language proficiency for reading, writing, and communication
- Computer proficiency and ability to read/comprehend instructions
- Physical Abilities – ability to remain in stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal Skills – work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain professionalism
- Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation, assist procedures, operate equipment
- Mental Requirements – handle high‑pressure situations, irregular schedules, and maintain concentration to details
- Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication
