Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, organization, management, and evaluation of patient care operations for designated area(s) on a 24‑hour basis as needed.
- Plan and develop short, mid, and long‑term goals and processes to enhance and improve unit operations, supporting the Medical Center’s mission, vision, and values.
- Evaluate and identify achievements and problems in meeting goals.
- Manage, guide, coach, and evaluate the performance of patient‑care staff in the designated area.
- Promote and ensure ongoing collaboration with other patient‑care departments and areas that directly or indirectly relate to patient‑care operations and services.
- Develop, administer, and manage unit budget plans.
- Identify, plan, and initiate cost‑saving initiatives.
- Participate in the development of evidence‑based standards of practice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes.
- Assume leadership in identifying and correcting factors contributing to problematic outcomes.

Unit DetailsOur dynamic MICU’s serve as sister units co‑located on the same floor, including pulmonology intensivists, critical care attendings, and specially trained nurses. They provide unparalleled care to a patient population spanning multisystem organ failure, pre‑solid organ transplant, and post‑cardiac arrest care, creating a high‑acuity environment with meaningful opportunities for growth and skill development. You’ll receive robust onboarding and hands‑on training to manage complex therapies such as MTP and CRRT.
Qualifications- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required;
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred. - Current Ohio RN license.
- Minimum of three years RN clinical experience and two years management experience in a relevant care setting.
- Current certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise (or certification must be achieved within the eligibility timeline).
- Prior leadership and management experience required.
