Transplant Infusion Coordinator

Scope of Position

The Transplant Office provides care to liver, kidney, heart, lung and pancreas transplant patients from the time of their transplant through their lifetime. This position is responsible for the clinical follow‑up of a subset of these patients.

The infusion coordinator coordinates the inter‑disciplinary team of nursing and non‑nursing resources to best serve the Transplant patients. The process of assessment, education and continuity of care is focused on the Transplant patients seen at the Comprehensive Transplant Clinic  coordinator administers prescribed therapy, monitors potential adverse effects, follows OSUMC Policy and Procedure, delivers care cost‑effectively, and designs, implements and evaluates systems to improve the quality of nursing care for the Transplant patient.

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN Ohio License.
• Prior transplant and/or infusion experience preferred.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator and/or Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion preferred.
• Flexible, sensitive and adaptable to transplant activities.
• Maintain current Ohio Licensure; maintain CPR certification, ACLS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy competency.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
