Travel RN - Telemetry - Pediatric Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Stepdown position requiring an active OH RN license and a minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown experience.

• Active OH RN license (or compact license with OH as primary state) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration — at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title (charge nurse references not accepted)

• Pediatric Stepdown unit in a children's hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiac patients with both medical and surgical diagnoses, including heart and lung transplants
• Specialized procedures and conditions include trachs/vents, high-flow nasal cannula, post-op caths, post-op CTICU patients, and inotrope management
• Day and night rotating shifts on a 6-week interval rotation (3x12-hour shifts)
• Day shift hours: 7:00–19:30;
  Night shift hours: 19:00–7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to different units is a requirement and should be expected
• Local candidates are not accepted for this RN position
• Candidates who have worked permanently for this health system must have a gap of at least 2 years before being eligible
• 13-week contract assignment
