Job Summary

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs), and provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.

Responsibilities

and Duties
  • Initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment of the population and/or individual (30%).
  • Document nursing interventions to achieve appropriate outcomes based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems (30%).
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions, revise plan of care based on evaluative data at appropriate intervals (20%).
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).
  • Perform operational duties maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization (10%).
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State of Ohio or current registered nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • BSN required at 5 years of employment.

Shift: Night;
Scheduled weekly hours: 24;
