Job Description

At Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., you will report to the Plasma Center Manager and serve as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. You will provide clinical support under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and support for environmental, health and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation with occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.

What you bring to Takeda

• High school diploma or graduate equivalence of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current certification in CPR and AED.
• State‑level completion of basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 – $45.98 per hour.
