The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost‑effective care.

The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Must maintain all required education and competencies including BLS and ACLS.

The Cardiovascular Lab provides direct patient care in the pre‑ and post‑procedural areas. This role supports the recovery of electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization, and other moderate sedation cases. Registered Nurses in this unit can expect to receive exposure and training to assist the cardiology clinic team, including supporting patients presenting for outpatient cardiology appointments. This position offers a broad range of clinical experience across procedural, recovery, and ambulatory care settings.
