Palliative Care Nurse
Palliative care focuses on providing relief from the side effects of serious illness. This will not only be a place for some patients to receive end-of-life comfort care, but we'll also be providing symptom management for patients still under treatment – uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, fatigue, etc. for a better quality of life. New unit that will open on 7/1.
Travelers who start prior to this date will be floating to inpatient units until their training is complete. This will be good experience to see the various patient populations they will be receiving once unit is open.
Certifications required:
- BLS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department's needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
