• Provide nursing care to clients with mental illness, assessing clinical needs and symptoms and applying growth and development principles over the lifespan.
• Administer injections, prepare drug samples, give medications, call meds to pharmacies, and provide additional nursing services as necessary.
• Deliver direct care services and case‑management services to clients.
• Coordinate and maintain medical department programs, such as lab results, prescriptions, and medication verification prior to release.
• Conduct regular medical education sessions on topics like mental illness overview, diet, and healthy lifestyle.
• Review schedules, ensuring charts and medications are set up for physicians.
• Act as liaison between physicians and other caregivers to process necessary information for client care.
• Ensure client confidentiality per federal guidelines and obtain written release of information before sharing with outside agencies.
• Maintain licensure and certification requirements; provide HR with documentation of licensure and renewals.
• Follow agency policy, procedure, and accreditation bodies (CARF and OMHAS); act ethically under Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Collaborate with the larger nursing team and assist outpatient and psychiatric staff.

• LPN or RN required with graduation from an accredited program.
• Experience in nursing required; experience in mental health preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Subject to BCI background check, pre‑employment drug screen, and reference checks.
