Registered Nurse

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. The work schedule involves 12-hour night shifts. Every other weekend availability is required. Floating to other units may be required based on the organization's needs. The patient population consists of adults with varying critical conditions. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1. Common responsibilities include ventilator management and titration of cardiac drips.

Candidates must have experience with IV sedation and central line management. Additional responsibilities entail blood product administration and CRRT management. Interpretation of 12-lead EKGs and arterial blood gases is essential. Familiarity with infection prevention and isolation precautions is necessary. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams, including IV, respiratory, and pharmacy services. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
