• Develop and implement a standard care arrangement with each supervising physician, updated annually in compliance with Section 472343 of Ohio Revised Code.
• Identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
• Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, allowing for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
• Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long‑term healthcare issues.
• Educate patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medication.
• Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with organization standards.
• Facilitate evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and Quality and Standards according to protocols, and receive and implement constructive directives.
• Travel required.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

• Ohio State certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty—pediatric, family, adult, and women’s health.
• Maintain such certification or eligibility throughout the term of employment.
