Comp Drug is seeking a conscientious LPN to provide safe, high‑quality, trauma‑informed patient care in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. The LPN performs direct care, administrative, and clerical duties while using technology to support patient care and team communication.
Work Arrangements- Full Time
- Work Location – 100% onsite
- Reports to:
Manager of Nursing Services
- Deliver direct nursing care, including but not limited to medication administration, toxicology collection, and vital signs monitoring
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance
- Support providers during examinations, procedures, and treatment interventions
- Perform nursing interventions according to care plans and document responses accurately
- Respond to patient health concerns and escalate clinical issues as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Ensure proper medication storage, handling, and inventory, including controlled substances
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards in all patient care areas
- Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, chart reviews, coordinating, and preparing patients for medical appointments and follow-ups
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Collaborate as part of interdisciplinary teams to provide high‑quality care to patients
- Follow state and federal regulations, agency policies, and nursing best practices
- Complete required training, certifications, and continuing education to maintain licensure
- Other duties as assigned
- Participate in initial and periodic compliance processes
- Maintain regular and timely attendance
- Maintain licensure/certification as an LPN in the state of Ohio
- Proficiency with EHR and other computer applications for documentation and communication
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to change
- Empathetic approach to nursing care and staff interactions
- 1 year addiction or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Must be able to meet the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: sit, walk, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see and be able to read, and write; occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Work is performed in person in an outpatient clinic setting. Role may occasionally require walking across a busy street to other campus buildings
Graduate of a practical nursing program that meets Ohio Nursing Board Standards.
