Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing. Hematologic Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
License:
Valid state nursing license required.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification preferred.
Must-Have:
Computerized charting experience using EPIC. Telemetry monitoring skills, including interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience with blood product administration and central line management.
Description:
Responsible for providing patient care in a mixed acuity unit. This role involves working with patients diagnosed with various hematologic malignancies. Active participation in the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care is essential. Candidate must have experience using computerized charting systems, specifically EPIC. Must be skilled in telemetry monitoring and blood product administration. Experience with peripheral line care and management is required.
Responsibilities may include central line blood draw and PICC line management. Focus on preventing infections and maintaining patient safety protocols is vital. Nurse will work as part of a team, coordinating with various services to provide comprehensive care. A commitment to maintaining a high standard of care in a fast-paced environment is essential. Candidates must be responsive and cooperative during the credentialing process.
Availability to complete any necessary onboarding processes promptly is required. Two professional references are required; one must be from a manager or supervisor. Preferred candidates will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team setting. Flexibility with scheduling may be necessary based on unit needs.
