PCU Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit
Schedule:
- Shift: Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts) - Weekend coverage: 3-4 weekend days per month
Requirements:
- Active Ohio RN license
- Minimum 2+ years clinical nursing experience - BCLS certification - IV certification
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
- Clinical skills in IV management, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, patient education, telemetry recognition, and managing withdrawal/behavioral issues
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population in a progressive care unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
- Participate in rapid response and code team situations.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
Compliance / Notes:
- Urgent Ohio fingerprinting required immediately after booking.
- 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be a manager or formal leader.
- Current employees of the facility are ineligible to be hired as travelers; former employees eligible after 6 months away.
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
