Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level III/IV neonatal intensive care position in Ohio, requiring NRP certification and Epic EMR experience.

• Active OH RN license or compact license valid in Ohio required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience in Level III and/or Level IV NICU settings required
• Competency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency in gastrointestinal feeding methods and management of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
• Experience with IV therapy including umbilical artery and vein catheter management
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted

• Level III NICU setting within a large academic medical center
• Cares for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above, including those under 24-28 weeks, with conditions such as respiratory distress, glucose dysregulation, and neonates requiring surgical or cardiac interventions
• Administers IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids via the Pyxis medication system
• Manages ventilator settings including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP modes
• Performs arterial line management, central line care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) interventions
• Documents using Epic EMR
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Multidisciplinary team includes NPs, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and interpretation services
• Candidates with prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital will be given special consideration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to return after a minimum 6-month absence
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
