Job Description Summary
Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using criteria set in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and follows department policies and nursing standards.
The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients.
- Assessment & Diagnosis (30%) – perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments for patients.
- Outcomes Identification & Planning (30%) – document planned interventions to achieve outcomes based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems.
- Implementation & Evaluation (20%) – evaluate and document response to interventions, revise care plans with the multidisciplinary team as needed.
- Leadership (10%) – participate in process‑improvement activities to meet clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets.
- Operations (10%) – focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High‑Reliability Organization.
- Current registered nurse license from the State of Ohio.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
