American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a MS/Tele Float Pool position at an academic medical center in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and prior travel experience.
Details- MS/Tele Float Pool position within a large academic medical center
- Float pool role requires flexibility to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekday and weekend availability required, including holidays
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Valid OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, CPI, NIHSS
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
- Proficiency in IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and phlebotomy required
- Skills in central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration required
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal leadership role; a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted
- Deliver nursing care across MS/Tele and orthopedic settings, including patients with neurological, gastrointestinal, renal, and endocrine conditions
- Preferred skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
- Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly upon contract signing — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet urgently
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former employees of this health system are eligible after a 6-month separation period; current employees are not eligible
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer
- Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff through the Campus Parc program on-site
