• Day, 3x12‑Hour (07:00 – 19:30)
• Night, 3x12‑Hour (19:00 – 07:30)

1st Timer / Palliative Care 11th FL‑D/N Only. Focus on providing relief from the side effects of serious illness, symptom management for patients under treatment, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, fatigue, and other distressing symptoms to improve quality of life. Ideal candidates are med‑surg nurses seeking to enhance palliative care skills while also floating to other high acuity med‑surg units.

• Provide palliative and symptom management to adults and geriatric patients in a 12‑bed medical surgical unit.
• Manage pain, nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms using pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Perform routine nursing duties such as IV initiation, phlebotomy, oxygen administration, and peripheral line care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Provide critical care support and participate in rapid response when required.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid compact or state license required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in med‑surg or palliative care.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) optional.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Acute care experience in the last 12 months.

Two professional references required. At least one reference must be from a manager or director. Charge RN acceptable for the second reference. No coworker references accepted. Former employees eligible after 6 months away.

Tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined). Contract includes 36 hours per week with 12‑hour shifts. Accommodation and travel stipends may be negotiated.
