American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an academic medical center in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Labor & Delivery unit within an academic medical center setting
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Floating may be required
- Active OH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced (NCC C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- IV start experience required
- Proficiency with external and internal fetal monitoring, EFM interpretation, and IUPC placement
- Experience with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care including C-section recovery, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension management
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (Charge RN acceptable as 2nd reference); no coworker references accepted
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
- Local candidates are accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- Former employees of this health system are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
- Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly upon contract signing — candidates outside Ohio may need to drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet; instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
- Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase on-site through Campus Parc, ranging from 24/7 garage access to budget surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center
