Position: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Overview

Make Every Moment Matter as a Hospice Aide (STNA). Are you a caring and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact? Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (STNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands‑on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Coverage Area: Greater Columbus and surrounding areas

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care by following the plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to patient and family requests, offering compassionate support.
  • Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
  • Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Provide support for families by sharing knowledge and expertise, guiding and reassuring them during this challenging time.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to meet agency, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Graduate of a State‑approved STNA program with a current, unencumbered certificate.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a STNA in an acute care or LTC setting preferred; hospice experience a plus.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
Compensation

USD 20.00 – 24.00 per hour (average pay range). Final compensation will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, and specific responsibilities.
