Rotating - 12 Hour (United States of America)

We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated CRNA to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a CRNA, you will work with our anesthesia team to provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role is full-time, with daytime shifts and no on-call responsibilities.

• A CRNA may provide only those medical services which he/she is competent to perform, and which are consistent with the CRNA's education, training and experience, and which are performed under the supervision of an anesthesiologist who is responsible for the patients cared for by that CRNA.
• A CRNA shall consult with an anesthesiologist regarding any task, procedure or diagnostic problem which the CRNA determines exceeds his/her level of competence.
• Scope of Practice of the CRNA: obtain complete histories and perform pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on patients, according to written standardized procedures.
• Perform or request and evaluate diagnostic studies as indicated upon evaluation of the patient, according to written standardized procedures.
• Order, obtain and administer pre-anesthetic and anesthetic agents, and adjuvant drugs for administration through general, regional or local techniques, according to written standardized procedures.
• Perform designated procedures after demonstrated competency, according to written standardized procedures where applicable.
• Obtain informed consent, as indicated.
• Evaluate patient to identify apparent or potential difficulties with airway management, if indicated.
• Discuss anesthesia and/or treatment plan based on identified assessments and physical findings.
• Explain tests, procedures and disease processes to patients and their families, as indicated.
• Obtain, prepare and use all equipment, monitors, supplies and drugs used for the administration of anesthesia and sedation techniques, and perform safety checks as needed.
• Observe, monitor and record vital signs and other critical parameters; manage fluids and blood loss as needed.
• Inserts invasive monitoring lines for anesthesia and interpretation of physiologic data.
• Perform all aspects of airway management and respond to abnormal patient responses during anesthesia with appropriate action and consultation.
• Keep the surgeon and responsible anesthesiologist informed of patient condition as needed.
• Document anesthetic care in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate patient response during emergence from anesthesia and provide follow-up care in the recovery room.
• Communicate with the assigned anesthesia faculty before, during and after surgery.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Graduate of a CRNA program accredited by COA.
• Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.

Base Pay Scale:
Generally starting at $157.03 - $170.42 per hour. Final salary will be set based on factors including internal equity, experience, education, and training.
