Travel PACU RN

Role Overview: A PACU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective recovery management. Responsibilities include assessing post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, documenting conditions, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with surgical teams. The role involves operating PACU equipment, developing patient education plans, and ensuring seamless communication during patient handoffs.

Qualifications & Skills: Requires at least one year of recent PACU RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PALS or ENPC. Essential skills include critical thinking, excellent communication, physical capacity to assist with equipment and patient movement, and the ability to work under pressure. Must possess visual acuity and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and patients.

Key Duties: Conduct assessments, monitor recovery, administer treatments, document progress, respond to emergencies, educate patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare providers.
