American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with endoscopy procedures and a valid OH or compact RN license.

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital environment
• Performs procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
• Circulates during endoscopic procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule with options of 4x10-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM)

• Active RN license (Ohio state or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Endoscopy procedure experience required
• PACU experience preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio experience required
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Proficient in monitoring conscious sedation
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Pre-procedure care experience required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second from a Charge RN or higher (no coworker references accepted)

• Responsible for pre-procedure care, circulating, and conscious sedation monitoring during GI/endoscopy procedures
• Must be prepared to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract, as this is a mandatory and time-sensitive credentialing step
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and built into the contract prior to booking, limited to 7 days or less
