American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with endoscopy procedures and a valid OH or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital environment
- Performs procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
- Circulates during endoscopic procedures
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule with options of 4x10-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM)
- Active RN license (Ohio state or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Endoscopy procedure experience required
- PACU experience preferred
- 1:1 patient ratio experience required
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
- Proficient in monitoring conscious sedation
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Pre-procedure care experience required
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second from a Charge RN or higher (no coworker references accepted)
- Responsible for pre-procedure care, circulating, and conscious sedation monitoring during GI/endoscopy procedures
- Must be prepared to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract, as this is a mandatory and time-sensitive credentialing step
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
- Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and built into the contract prior to booking, limited to 7 days or less
