Description:

Position:
Neuro ICU Travel Nurse

Shift: Day/Night rotation, every other weekend

Rotation every 4 weeks
** THIS IS ESTIMATED BASED ON UNIT NEEDS.
** THE MANAGER WILL PROVIDE FINAL CLARIFICATION DURING THE INTERVIEW.

Schedule:

3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week Patient Ratio:
Estimated 1:1-2

Floating:
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Experience

Required:

2 years of Neuro ICU Experience Certifications

Required:

BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA Certifications only)

The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barr syndrome, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery patients undergoing procedures such as spinal surgery, craniotomies, and cerebrovascular surgery. Special Procedures/Unit Details :
Bedside procedures such as tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), Central Line and arterial line placement, EVD placement. Special Equipment :
Patients requiring invasive neuromonitoring such as EVD monitoring and ICP monitoring. Mechanically ventilated patients, EEG monitoring.
