Neuro ICU Travel RN
Schedule:
- Shift: Day/Night rotating with every-other-weekend; rotation every 4 weeks
- Weekend definition:
Days — Saturday/Sunday;
Nights — Friday/Saturday
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Travel experience required - BLS (AHA) certification - ACLS (AHA) certification - NIHSS (AHA) certification
- Experience with ventilator management, invasive neuro monitoring, and central/arterial line management
- Proficient in IV starts and blood product administration
- Familiarity with stroke management and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the neuro ICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and neurological status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including vasoactive drips.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Engage in patient and family education regarding care and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.
Compliance / Notes:
- Urgent fingerprinting required immediately after booking; strict compliance deadline applies.
- Valid compact or state license needed at the time of submission.
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate; former employees eligible after at least 6 months away.
- RNs must comply with all credentialing requirements to avoid assignment delays or cancellations.
