Neuro ICU Travel Nurse – Neuro Intensive Care Unit

Schedule:

3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week) Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Rotation:
Day/Night rotation every 4 weeks Weekends:
Every other weekend

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years Neuro ICU experience
• Travel experience required
• Preferred:
  Trauma Level I experience
• Required certifications: BCLS/BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Experience with ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, seizures, neuromuscular disease, post-op neurosurgery, TBI, spinal cord injury
• Experience with ventilator management, ICP/EVD monitoring, central/arterial line management

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care to adult patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Monitor and manage patients with neurological conditions including strokes and traumatic brain injuries.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including vasoactive drips and continuous sedation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care in the electronic health record system.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices in patient management.

Compliance / Notes:

• Urgent fingerprinting required immediately after booking.
• References: 2 professional references required; at least one must be a manager/director.
• RTO required with submission; local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccine not required;
  Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
