Registered Nurse – Telemetry/Stepdown/Med-Surg

Schedule:

Nights, 12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Every other weekend (Friday & Saturday nights)

Assignment Details:

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 32 hours

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Active RN license
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS
• Previous telemetry experience required
• Experience with IV insulin protocols/insulin drips
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience in acute care within the last 12 months

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients in acute care settings.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, including IV insulin drips as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and discharge planning.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.

• Fingerprinting required promptly after booking.
• RTO must be provided with submission.
• Candidates must meet vaccination requirements.
