Registered Nurse – PCU
Schedule:
Nights — 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Assignment Details:
Estimated Patient Ratios: 1:4
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Experience with neuro stepdown skills including stroke management, post-TPA/TNK care, craniotomy/lumbar drain management, and dysrhythmia recognition/management
- Charting system experience with EPIC
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in a PCU setting, focusing on neuro and stroke patients.
- Monitor vital signs and neurological status, responding to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments, including blood products, as per protocol.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Compliance / Notes:
- Weekend coverage required with rotating weekdays and holidays.
- Floating to different units within the organization may be required.
- Pre-approved time off policy in place.
- Fingerprinting and compliance requirements must be met prior to assignment start.
