Neuro ICU Travel Nurse
This position is for a Neuro ICU Travel Nurse. The shifts will involve a rotation between day and night schedules. Nurses are expected to work every other weekend. The schedule consists of 3 shifts lasting 12 hours each week. The estimated patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:2. Floating to equivalent or lower acuity units is required. Candidates should have experience with IV management, telemetry, and ventilator care.
Monitoring intracranial pressure is an essential skill. The patient population includes stroke patients, neuromuscular disease cases, and postoperative neurosurgery patients. Bedside procedures such as tracheostomy and central line placement are part of the role. Travelers should be aware of compliance deadlines and credentialing processes. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or director. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is also necessary.
The role involves interdisciplinary support and various patient care responsibilities.
