Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit
Schedule:
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours:
36 hours/week Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend
Assignment Details:
Daily census: ~25–32 adult patients Bed count: 32 beds
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years recent progressive care / PCU/Stepdown experience Current RN license (compact or state license in hand) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Experience with telemetry and similar PCU/Stepdown patient populations Skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition/management, IV/central line/PICC care, blood product administration, respiratory support, wound care, pre/post-operative care
Roles & Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry and dysrhythmia recognition Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as required Provide respiratory support and manage tracheostomy care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Participate in rapid response and code team situations when necessary
Compliance / Notes:
Orientation: 36 hours Parking options available for agency staff Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Urgent completion of fingerprinting required upon contract signing
