Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse — Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown

Schedule:

Nights — 3 x 12-hour shifts. Weekday shifts with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years PCU (stepdown/IMC) experience
• RN license: valid compact or state license required
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS and BLS
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Skills in IV starts and maintenance; peripheral IV/PICC/central line care
• Experience with IV insulin protocol and non-invasive airway management
• Familiarity with procedures such as paracentesis

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a PCU/stepdown setting.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Assist with procedures and provide post-operative care following kidney/liver/pancreas transplant and other medical interventions.
• Educate patients and families about care processes and disease management.

  Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently after booking.
• Strict credentialing requirements apply.
