Palliative Care RN

Schedule:

D/N Only

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Acute care experience required
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain interventions skills
• Experience with symptom and pain management
• IV starts/maintenance and peripheral line care
• Oxygen delivery knowledge
• Dysrhythmia recognition and basic phlebotomy skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adults and geriatrics with serious, life-limiting illnesses.
• Manage symptoms including pain, nausea/vomiting, and fatigue effectively.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient comfort and symptom control.
• Educate patients and families about palliative care options and treatment plans.
• Administer medications according to established guidelines and monitor for effectiveness.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation is 72 hours.
• Fingerprinting and credentialing must be completed as per strict deadlines.
• RTO required with submission and must be included in the contract.
• Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only.
• COVID-19 vaccine not required.
• Parking options are available at the facility.
