Description:
Schedule includes weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. Must be willing to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Responsibilities include providing care to patients within the Progressive Care Unit. Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients. Utilize skills in IV starts and telemetry monitoring. Familiarity with Epic system for documentation is required. This position offers a dynamic schedule with the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Travelers will not be expected to care for ICU level patients and will only work in Progressive Care Unit. Special equipment includes telemetry, bladder scanner, and kidney biopsy recovery. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient demographics primarily include adults with various diagnoses such as kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. Candidates must complete a fingerprinting process promptly after signing the contract.
Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor. Education must be from an accredited program.
