Strong skills in IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation required. EPIC experience required.

Description:

Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts weekly, including weekdays and some weekends. Rotating holidays may be required. The nurse will be required to float to different units as needed. This is a lower acuity cardiac unit specializing in progressive care. Cardiac experience is preferred. Patient ratio is 1:3-4. The nurse will provide high-quality care for patients in a lower acuity cardiac unit.

Responsibilities include monitoring and assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The nurse must ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Floating to units of similar or lower acuity may be required as needed. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Patient diagnoses within the unit include a mix of inpatient populations focused on general cardiology, electrophysiology, and some open heart surgery overflow.

Special procedures may include pacemaker placement, arrhythmia ablation, and cardiac catheterizations. Candidates must complete the fingerprinting process as part of the hiring requirements immediately upon contract signing. References from two professional sources are required. One reference must be from a manager or supervisor. Candidates must possess a nursing degree from an accredited program.
