Critical Care RN - ICU Float Pool

Assignment Details:

• Contract requirement:
  Extend through January 2, 2027.
• Weekend coverage required:
  Minimum every-other-weekend.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required.
• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Core clinical skills: IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, management of central lines/arterial lines, titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips, ABG interpretation, care for post-cardiac surgery patients, blood product administration, neuro monitoring (EVD, NIHSS), temp pacer familiarity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in various ICU settings.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient status, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.

Compliance / Notes:

• Fingerprinting required prior to start; strict compliance deadline of one week prior.
• References:
  Two professional references required, with at least one being a manager/director or formal supervisor.
• Employees of the facility are ineligible; former employees eligible after 6+ months away.
• Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only; COVID-19 vaccine not required.
