Requirements
- Minimum 2 years PCU/stepdown experience required
- Cardiac/vascular surgery experience preferred
- Travel assignment experience required
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (both required at submission) - Additional certification: NIHSS
- Charting system experience:
Epic required
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a progressive care unit with a focus on post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Administer IV medications, manage peripheral IVs/PICC lines, and perform central line management.
- Conduct arterial line monitoring and ABG interpretation.
- Provide post-operative care for cardiac/vascular patients and manage oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation.
- Administer blood products and manage heparin/insulin protocols as needed.
Compliance / Notes - RTO required with submission (must be built into contract) - Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
