Registered Nurse – Oncology
Shift: Days, Nights, or 12-hour rotating
Requirements:
- Valid state or compact RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Acute care nursing experience in the specialty within the last 12 months
- 2 years of acute care experience preferred
- Experience with telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation
- Proficiency in central line/PICC/port care, blood product administration, IV starts, and PCA pumps
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the oncology unit.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about conditions and treatments.
- Manage complex patient needs within a high-acuity setting.
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions only
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Background checks and credentialing required before start
