Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years postpartum experience
• Labor & delivery and IV start experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Required certifications: BLS; IV certification
• NRP certification (preferred)
• Telemetry interpretation required – RN must pass EKG exam prior to start

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide family-centered care to postpartum mothers and healthy newborns.
• Conduct newborn assessments, manage thermoregulation, and perform metabolic screening.
• Offer education on breastfeeding, discharge teaching, and postpartum care.
• Manage postpartum complications including hemorrhage and wound care.
• Administer IV therapy and vaccines as needed.
• Care for infants experiencing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and other low birth weight concerns.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process is required immediately upon signing the contract.
• Two professional references are required; at least one from a manager or director.
• RTO must be included in the contract submission.
