Neuro ICU Travel Nurse
The Neuro ICU Travel Nurse will provide care to patients in a critical care setting. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1-2. Floating to other units of equivalent or lower acuity is required. Travelers must have experience in managing patients post-operatively from neurosurgery. Candidates should be comfortable with invasive neuromonitoring such as EVD monitoring and ICP monitoring. Skills required include advanced care management for ventilated patients and seizure management.
Preference will be given to travelers with prior charge experience. The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases. The unit performs bedside procedures such as tracheostomy and arterial line placement. A strict compliance deadline for credentialing exists prior to the start of the assignment. References from previous supervisors or managers are necessary. Candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process.
Travelers must be responsive and cooperative during the credentialing procedure. Pre-Approved Time Off may be arranged in advance.
