Overview
Contingent position following orientation to the clinic, 3-4 times a month, 8‑hour days (8:00‑4:30).
Job SummaryEmphasizes health promotion and disease prevention, assisting patients and families to move rapidly, safely, and effectively through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees, and provides quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care.
Essential Functions- Provides nursing care using a family‑centered approach.
- Assesses individualized patient needs, plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care using evidence‑based practices.
- Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy requirements.
- Works closely with providers and team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow, addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive outcomes.
- Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding quality improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings, reporting important information and updates to staff.
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Licensure RequirementLicensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required.
ExperienceThree years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
